Rhinomodeling without surgery: Calcium hydroxyapatite

Modifying the appearance of the nose without surgery is now possible through the treatment of Aesthetic Medicine with Hydroxyapatite for the production of collagen.

The filler that is applied is composed of exclusive and patented microparticles of calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) suspended in an aqueous gel.

Once injected, a process called neocollagenesis or new collagen production is initiated. This process stimulates the body to produce new collagen and promotes collagen growth around the injected area. The process appears 15 days after application.

The accompanying gel is composed of carboxymethylcellulose, which acts during the first 15 days, giving time for the hydroxyapatite particles to start producing collagen.

This collagen production is used to increase volume in specific areas, for which it is injected in subcutaneous cellular tissue and even under the muscle.

Another use, nowadays very widespread, is to reposition areas of the face. In this case it is injected with a cannula in the form of fine lines as vectors that induce traction, which provides the face with volume in the indicated places.

Another fundamental application is rhinomodeling or rhinoplasty without surgery. In this case the hydroxyapatite must be injected having added a local anesthetic, since the injection in this area is uncomfortable and having applied ice a few minutes before to cool the area prior treatment.
