Dr. Dujo Rodriguez, specialist in traumatology and member of Top Doctors, teaches the 1st edition of the Postgraduate Course in Shock Wave Treatments to be held from November 13 to June 11. The course, aimed at physicians and physiotherapists, has 20 places available.

Shock waves are a non-invasive therapy that reduces the patient’s sick leave periods and sequelae, while reducing costs compared to traditional therapies. It is a technique that is increasingly demanded by centers and patients. The academic degree is the only one that accredits the possibility of applying the technique of Extracorporeal Shock Waves.

For this reason, and in response to the demand of professionals, the Shock Wave Unit of the Madrid Hospital Group, directed by Dr. Dujo Rodriguez, will teach the 1st edition of the Postgraduate course in this treatment, which will run for 9 months, from November 13 to June 11. The main topics to be covered are all the pathologies that are currently treated using Shock Waves: bone, joint, skin, erectile dysfunction and pain pathology, among others.

The training, which has 20 places available, is aimed at doctors and physiotherapists and will be given one weekend a month, on Fridays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The course is theoretical and practical, with follow-up with real patients, and includes a part dedicated to ultrasound in order to know how to diagnose and apply echo-guided OCs.

The course, which is based on the knowledge of both national and international professors and professionals and is carried out with state-of-the-art machines, is endorsed by the Health Council of the Community of Madrid.
