Hair fibers to disguise hairlessness

Co-director and specialist in the Dermatology and Hair Transplant Unit of the Gálvez Hospital in Málaga, Dr. Alcaide Martín explains what hair fibers are and what they consist of.

What are capillary fibers?

Hair fibers are fibers of vegetable origin, which have a negative electrostatic charge, while hair has a positive electrostatic charge.

Being different, like a magnet, these electrostatic charges tend to intertwine in a natural way, leaving a perfect final result, using little product in each application.

What are these fibers made of?

There are brands on the market whose fibers are made of wool, cotton or cellulose “keratin”.

What does the treatment with hair fibers consist of?

It is a cosmetic treatment, which, due to its electrostatic charge, binds to the hair without obstructing the pore and makes the skin in the area of alopecia less visible, so it looks like you have more hair.

It is a treatment that can be used daily without risk and lasts until the hair is washed.

How do the hair fibers work?

It consists of applying it directly to the dry scalp in the area of alopecia, and then combing so that the fibers attach to the hair.
