Embryo Bank Protection System

Clinica Tambre has a protection system for embryo banks. Cryopreserved embryos are stored in liquid nitrogen at -196ºC in specific cryogenic containers. The purpose of semen cryopreservation is the conservation and maintenance of seminal doses for later use in assisted reproduction.

The purpose of the Sperm Bank is to freeze sperm for two main purposes: to perform Artificial Insemination with donor sperm and to freeze sperm in men with pathologies that may cause sterility (prior chemo-radiotherapy treatment, surgery, vasectomy, etc.) or simply before an assisted reproduction treatment due to the impossibility of the man to attend the day the sperm needs to be used.

Clinica Tambre’s embryo banks are equipped with a safety system consisting of a probe attached to the inside of the banks that controls the levels of liquid nitrogen and temperature. The probes are connected to a computer system that activates a visual and audible alarm linked to a cell phone network in the event of any variation inside the containers. In this way, control of the cryopreserved embryos is always assured.

Clinica Tambre uses state-of-the-art technology to ensure maximum quality and safety in all procedures. They were the first to incorporate a safety system in all liquid nitrogen containers. Any slightest change in the containers will trigger the alarm system.
