9th Course on Evaluation and Treatment of Oropharyngeal Dysphagia

The 9th Course on Evaluation and Treatment of Oropharyngeal Dysphagia will be held on October 22nd and 23rd. The specialist in Otorhinolaryngology and Speech Therapy and member of Top Doctors, Dr. Garmendia Merino, is one of the directors and teachers of this event to be held in Madrid.

The ninth edition of the Course on Evaluation and Treatment of Oropharyngeal Dysphagia is aimed at those professionals, doctors, speech therapists and nurses, interested in this topic. The main objective is to become the engine of change in this complex disability, Oropharyngeal Dysphagia, through the knowledge imparted during the course. During the two days, theoretical and practical classes will be held to help the specialist to evaluate and treat their patients. The theoretical part covers anatomo-physiology, clinical and instrumental evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of oropharyngeal dysphagia, while the practical part includes clinical cases and a review of the topics covered during the theory.

Continuing with the planning of other editions, there is a section called “I do it this way”, where students can present a topic related to oropharyngeal dysphagia and discuss how to act with the rest of the experts.

It should be noted that this event is endorsed by the Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Cervico-Facial Pathology (SEORL), the Spanish Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (SERMEF), the Society of Residence Doctors (SEMER) and the Spanish Association of Speech Therapists (ALE). As in previous editions, European Accreditation will be requested through the European Accreditation Council for CME (EACCME®).

Registration for the course can be done partially, in those classes that are of greater interest, or for the entire course.
