Clínica del Dolor Teknon, a member of Top Doctors, is organizing its annual Pain Day on Thursday, June 9. The center will soon become the Aliaga Institute, in homage to Dr. Luis Aliaga Font.
The Centro Medico Teknon Pain Clinic, associated with the Millennium Pain Center in Chicago, is a multidisciplinary center whose objective is the diagnosis, management and treatment of chronic pain (oncologic and non-oncologic).
The conference will be inaugurated by Dr. José Luis Simón, Medical Director of Centro Médico Teknon, Dr. Víctor Mayoral, Medical Director of the Clínica del Instituto Aliaga, and Dr. Victoria Ribera, President of the Catalan Pain Society. After the inauguration, a tribute will be paid to the late Dr. Luis Aliaga Font, founder of Clínica del Dolor Teknon.
This will be followed by a discussion on new strategies for excellence in pain management and the presentation of the new Aliaga Institute.
After a short break, the first round table discussion will be about a patient with chronic pain, “analysis of an unknown”. In the afternoon, two other round tables will be held. The first will deal with technology and pharmacology, and the second with new innovations in pain interventionism.
The event will be closed by Dr. Víctor Mayoral, Dr. Ricardo Vallejo and Dr. Elena Català, former president of the Societat Catalana del Dolor and director of the Pain Unit of the Hospital de Sant Pau.
The conference will take place in the auditorium of the Centro Médico Teknon from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. It is essential to make a prescription as places are limited.
