Oncological hyperthermia, a great help in cancer treatment

In recent years, the benefits of Oncologic Hyperthermia, a new therapy against cancer, are becoming evident:

  1. improves response to conventional treatments
  2. boosts immunity
  3. reduces their side effects

What does oncological hyperthermia consist of?

Oncological hyperthermia consists of the controlled production of heat, always projected in the areas where the malignant tumor is located. It is a complementary treatment to conventional treatments (radiotherapy, chemotherapy and surgery). The objective of our center, MagnaClínic Marbella, is to pay special attention to the way we help cancer patients; that is why we decided to incorporate a new treatment in Spain: Oncological Hyperthermia.

Oncological hyperthermia is beginning to be considered in many countries as the “fourth pillar” in cancer treatment. In fact, this technique is very commonly used to treat tumors in areas such as the head, breast, thorax or digestive tumors such as, for example, pancreatic cancer, among others.

The main reason for using oncological hyperthermia is to try to achieve a higher cure rate with less toxicity than that obtained with conventional treatments. In short, Oncological Hyperthermia allows to increase the benefits and decrease the side effects of both chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and what is better, without producing greater toxicity.
