The duration of the implants usually exceeds two decades.

Types of hip interventions

There are two options for hip surgery. On the one hand, there is conventional surgery, also known as open surgery. However, in cases of younger patients, the so-called arthroscopic surgery is performed, with which the internal part of the joints can be visualized and, in this way, the treatments that the specialists consider appropriate can be carried out.

Arthroscopic surgery can be used in other joints such as knees, wrists, elbows or ankles. It is worth mentioning that this type of minimally invasive surgery implies an important advantage over conventional surgery, since the incisions are smaller, so the postoperative period is less painful and quicker.
