Mastopexy, surgery to lift and enhance the breasts

Mastopexy is surgery to lift and improve the shape of sagging breasts. Over the years and as a result of pregnancy, breastfeeding and the force of gravity, the breast tends to fall, in addition, as the skin loses its elasticity the breast loses its shape and falls. With this technique it is also possible to reduce the size of the areola.

I have been performing plastic and reconstructive surgery for almost thirty years, and that experience has allowed me to get to know my patients’ concerns and worries much better. One of the most demanded surgeries are all those related to women’s breasts.

Breast lift is one of the interventions that many women request, but it is also one of those that they do not dare to perform because of the scars that occur as a result of such intervention. As a woman, I have never liked the scars that remain on the breast after a breast lift. This is one of the reasons why, for some time now, I have been trying to find a formula to leave a scar as inconspicuous as possible.

I have developed a new surgical technique to leave only a periareolar scar (very similar to that of breast augmentation); so that the result I get is that, over time, the scar is confused with the “natural line” between the nipple and the rest of the breast.

This new technique consists of performing the elevation internally, so that I manage to raise the mammary groove a considerable height. What we obtain is a smooth breast, in its natural position and with a small nipple.

Patients undergoing this new technique are delighted to be able to achieve their goal without having to carry, for life, the classic inverted T-scar.

Personally, for me as a surgeon and as a woman, I find it very gratifying to be able to offer this alternative to patients who want to undergo breast lift.
