10 Quarantine Care Tips

Days of uncertainty and home confinement are approaching, in order to preserve our health and that of those around us. In exceptional situations such as this one, taking care of our self-esteem, without committing frivolities, is as lawful as it is necessary.

Now that we cannot go to our usual beauty center to take care of our skin, here are some tips that will help you to keep it healthy at home:

  1. Always keep it very clean. Double cleansing, so typical of oriental women, is the beginning of everything, and now that we have more time we should focus on the initial and fundamental aspect of any beauty protocol. Knowing the type of skin we have is essential, and from there use good cleansing cosmetics at home, even with cleansing brushes to intensify the effect twice a day.
  2. Moisturizing is basic, from a very young age, in different textures and formulas, from creams, serums, oils or masks. We have many cosmetic tools at our disposal but once a month we must perform a deeper hydration of our skin because it is basic for the prevention of wrinkles. Try to leave the products to act more deeply, applying more than usual and covering your face with an osmotic film (plastic wrap) to make an occlusive effect or leave a mask applied while you do other tasks at home.
  3. Sun protection always on exposed areas, face, neck and hands, in summer needless to say, but also in winter where ultraviolet radiation also affects our skin, even on cloudy days. This, although it may seem absurd these days is very important if we have terraces, a lot of natural light enters through our windows or we are all day in front of the computer screen. Remember that artificial light also influences the appearance of stains. Do not neglect to go out on the terrace with the children on a sunny day, or at lunch on the balcony because that ends up taking its toll and then we have to remove the stains.
  4. Homemade gadgets to help penetrate cosmetic products. This is a good option to continue professional treatments at home and to get the most out of the cosmetics we apply daily on our skin. For example, LED light masks provide us with a plus over the isolated application of cosmetics. These days, setting up your own spa at home with these gadgets can not only beautify us but also provide moments of fun with other members of the family.
  5. Take care of the weakest areas, such as the eye contour and neck. In these areas the skin is thinner and we must pay more attention to it, if we do not want to regret it when the first wrinkles appear. Do not stop using cosmetics for these areas in these days of some weariness. It is very important to be consistent in these areas and some self-massage in these days will come in handy to reactivate the microcirculation of the skin.
  6. If you can, also moisturize your hands, because with so much disinfection the skin can dry out, but do not stop disinfecting please just remember before going to sleep to apply moisturizer, you can even apply a large layer of cream and put on cotton gloves to sleep. This way we get an intensive moisturizing treatment during the night.
  7. Since you have more time, if you don’t have children at home of course, enjoy a daily facial massage with your favorite serum, insisting on the wrinkles areas, with circular passes with your fingertips following the path of the wrinkles: on the forehead, on the upper lip, on the eye contour, on the neck,…
  8. Laugh as much as you can, we will blur those expression lines with botox or blanching, look for activities that make you happy because laughing increases our defenses and at this time we need them to be at one hundred percent.
  9. If you usually wear make-up every day, try to continue doing it, even if you stay at home, looking beautiful (with make-up, well groomed and no home clothes) will improve our mood.
  10. Take the opportunity to make a healthy diet, organize the menus of each day in advance to avoid improvisations and make those healthy and delicious recipes that you never have time to do. Include antioxidant foods that help you prevent free radicals that age the cells of our body and our skin: red fruits, nuts, avocado, broccoli, tomato, papaya, extra virgin olive oil, citrus fruits, a little bit of dark chocolate, oily fish and green or red tea.
