Dr. Luis Aliaga passed away last September 5th. From Top Doctors we want to pay him a heartfelt tribute for his human and professional career.
Those of us who had the opportunity to work with Dr. Aliaga could appreciate his dedication to Medicine and his interest in the patient’s welfare. His entire professional life was linked to the treatment of pain, to alleviate the suffering of others. He founded the Pain Clinic of the Hospital San Pablo and coordinated the prestigious Pain Clinic of the Centro Médico Teknon. He supervised with special perseverance the most complex cases and those who sought his expertise for a second opinion.
When he was not in consultation, he was also dedicated to medicine. He shared his experience and knowledge with other doctors. At the Autonomous University of Barcelona he was a professor of the master’s degree in Pain Treatment. Outside the classroom he taught courses, organized congresses, wrote books… He was an international eminence in his specialty.
