On April 23, give books away

As every April 23rd is celebrated the International Book Day, which means for all of us a special opportunity to surprise our loved ones. This year we recommend four books, four different threads so that the person to whom you are giving a gift can enjoy it with a pleasant, useful and didactic reading.

Top Doctors’ proposals

The first one is entitled Is my child a bad student? Medical causes of school failure and treatments to overcome it, by Dr. Inmaculada Escamilla Canales and Dr. María Pilar Gamazo Garrán, members of Top Doctors. It addresses school failure from a psychiatric point of view, as anxiety problems or attention deficit disorder may be the causes. Numerous specialists in Psychiatry, Neurology or Psychology, as well as teachers, under the coordination of the two authors, try to give answers to all those questions that worry parents.

Laringo Stroboscopy. Parámetros de Normalidad, by Dr. Enrique Maraví, member of Top Doctors, is a multitouch book about this ENT treatment. It is a basic tool for professionals seeking to delve deeper into the complex world of voice exploration. All this with the help of numerous authors and with a very small budget.

Dr. Joseba Barron Arniches, expert in Sports Medicine and member of Top Doctors, presents El Entrenamiento Invisible. Winning by power (Volume 2), a book that reviews the importance of knowing at all times what to do during that time when we are not training. Advice on how to rest, on stretching, on how to make a diet, or the number of morning pulsations. All this with the aim of avoiding sudden death in sports.

Finally, we recommend The Protein Diet, by Dr. Agustín Molins, Founding President of the Spanish Medical Association of the Protein Diet AMEDPRO, Master in Aesthetic Medicine and member of Top Doctors, a book that will help the patient to lose weight in a healthy and beneficial way. According to the doctor, it is a diet that “is done under strict medical control to lose fat while maintaining muscle mass”. The diet offered by Dr. Molins in his book is rich in protein, far removed from the controversial Dukan and Atkins diets.
