From July 1 to 3 will be held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria the V Skin Fair. An event that aims to prevent and raise awareness among the Canarian population of the importance of caring for and protecting our skin. Throughout this weekend, different workshops and conferences will be held, including the participation of the specialist in Dermatology and member of Top Doctors, Dr. Viera Ramirez.
The fair will start on Friday July 1st with the creation of different workshops that will deal with various aspects of the skin, such as the care of our face with therapeutic makeup. On Saturday the official inauguration will take place and afterwards the dermatologist Dr. Agustín Viera, member of the Fundación Piel Sana, will give a talk entitled “For a dermo-healthy city without skin cancer”. The specialist also comments that thanks to events such as this one, the protection of the dermis is promoted through the physical and social environment of the population, from where their daily lives are developed.
Throughout the weekend there will be different workshops and recreational activities for the whole family. In addition, twenty booths will be set up where specialists, pharmacists and companies related to hydration, nutrition and photoprotection will provide information and different products related to the skin. To conclude the event, the public will be able to resolve their doubts about skin care at an open table and the “Decalogue for a healthy and protected skin” prepared by the National Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (AEDV) will be presented. Attendees will also be able to spread their participation through social networks with the hashtag #FeriaPielLPGC.
In this way, the Fundación Piel Sana of the AEDV together with the City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria wanted to promote the prevention of any type of pathology in one of the areas of Spain most affected by the sun.
