4D Ultrasound: What will my baby be like?

4D ultrasound is a video sequence obtained from 3D moving images. It allows you to see in real time the movements and gestures of a fetus. In this way, it provides a more accurate approximation of what the baby will look like.

In addition, new software is available to provide exceptional anatomical realism, which helps to increase depth perception.

This technique allows us specialists in Gynecology to show the appearance of the fetus in a simple way; in this way, parents can become familiar with their future baby before birth, which strengthens, even more if possible, the emotional bond that is established during pregnancy and childbirth.

4D Ultrasound: at 26 – 30 weeks

Given its innocuousness, 4D ultrasound can be performed at any time during gestation, although the ideal time is around 26-30 weeks of gestation, in order to obtain a better image.

Since it is performed by ultrasound, there is no risk for either the mother or the fetus, since the ultrasound used does not produce any type of radiation.
