Integrative Gynecology, a holistic, humanistic and integrative vision of women

We could express the concept of Integrative Gynecology as that which, taking as a basis the best of conventional medicine, combines and hybridizes complementary tools based on aspects of safety and efficacy. It is addressed to all those women who wish to be contemplated from all their dimensionality, that is, physical, emotional and essential. It is an expanded approach to conventional gynecology with a holistic, humanistic and integrative vision.

From this integrative mission of women’s health, it is possible to approach the different physiological or pathological states of women from a much more complete perspective.

Integrative Gynecology is a model oriented to the restitution of health. This conception implies that maintaining this balance requires a series of environmental, biological, emotional, socioeconomic, and health care factors that come together to sustain it.

What is Integrative Medicine?

Currently, a new model of Integrative Medicine has emerged with great force. This medicine has its origin in the United States, in the 1990s, due to the large number of people who came to non-conventional therapies. This fact aroused the interest of the country’s health authorities, so that Congress, through the National Institutes of Health, created a budget for the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) with the mission of identifying, investigating and validating treatments, diagnostic and preventive modalities, disciplines and systems of alternative and complementary medicines. This would provide reliable health information to the public and the scientific community about its safety and efficacy.

The degree of effectiveness is very high, their treatments are focused on regulating and correcting those factors that are altered or blocked, helping to change the lifestyle and nutrition of patients.
