Learn the Mindfulness technique to gain self-confidence

Mindfulness is a form of meditation taught and applied by a mental health professional specializing in the technique, either a psychologist or psychiatrist, with the goal of becoming self-confident.

Uses of Mindfulness

The Mindfulness technique is used in psychotherapy to make the person feel safe and in balance with him/herself. It is a tool that helps not to become obsessed with a thought, in order to let the mind flow.

It can be applied to any problem, whether it is infertility, anxiety, stress, fears, insecurities, eating problems, low self-esteem, feeling of not controlling life and not being happy, among others.

Mindfulness Process

The Mindfulness meditation process is based on the patient’s purpose. Through this will, attention should be directed to the sensations, with special emphasis on the experience that is being lived in the present moment. In this way a space of freedom is created where calm, security and balance grow.

It is about not judging or criticizing whether the experience that is being felt or thought is good or bad. In this sense, the patient should not get angry with himself for experiencing something he does not want, but should accept it as it arises.

Advantages of Mindfulness over other techniques

The advantages of the Mindfulness technique over other techniques are many:

  • Lowers blood pressure
  • Lowers cholesterol
  • Lowers blood sugar
  • Increases the efficiency of the immune system
  • It makes the heart go at the right rhythm

The ideal is to combine Mindfulness with deep relaxation and clinical hypnosis, to achieve an effective and complete inner work in less time. On the other hand, these are techniques that are taught to the patient in consultation, so that he/she can then apply them without the need of the psychologist.
