Comprehensive Preventive Medicine for Women

At the comprehensive preventive treatment unit for women at Clinica Tambre, we carry out a very complete study of the factors that play an important role in the aging process and are responsible for the greater or lesser speed at which our physiological functions deteriorate, especially after the onset of menopause with the disappearance of the female hormones that have been exerting a protective effect on numerous organs in the body.

The first step in the preventive treatment of women is to take a detailed clinical history, followed by the corresponding examination, to which are sometimes added functional tests of body composition and assessment of physical condition. This is followed by a blood and urine test with special attention to oxidative status indicators, and an abdominal ultrasound. Complete studies of immune function and relevant genetic data can also be performed, all of which will allow us to come very close to determining the biological age of the patient.

Once the tests have been completed, the patient has a further consultation where the results obtained will be presented and explained and an assessment will be made.

Different treatments for different patients

Depending on the results, the patient will receive various treatment options including hygienic-dietary measures, a table of aerobic or strength training and, if necessary, the appropriate drugs.

Six months after starting the treatment, a control will be carried out, with the necessary analytical tests, adjusting the treatment accordingly.

And after 12 months a new evaluation is made, from that moment on, the visits become annual. In addition, the treatment can be complemented with corrective aesthetic measures.
