A varicose vein is a permanent dilatation of a vein that normally occurs in the lower extremities, although it can appear in other areas of the body, and occurs in both men and women. It appears due to an incorrect circulation of venous return and can be due to different reasons: genetic, postural or overweight, among the most common.
Due to the venous pressure that occurs, in addition to a dilation of the deep veins, the blood tries to find new ways to circulate and thus appear unsightly reticular varicose veins, telangiectasias, spider veins and small varicose veins.
What does the treatment consist of?
The aesthetic treatment of varicose veins is indicated for reticular varicose veins, i.e. of small caliber. Sclerosis of varicose veins is a simple technique that, by means of a sclerosing product (Etosisclerol) and the microfoam technique, produces a controlled inflammatory reaction that manages to completely eliminate the varicose vein.
The treatment is completely painless, only a slight stinging is noticed at the moment of the infiltration of the product and in fact, one of its main advantages is that the patient does not require any type of painkiller after the treatment.
