The sessions to be performed depend on the needs of each patient and the expectations they want to improve. Generally, a minimum of two sessions is recommended, where each session can last approximately 40 minutes.

Aftercare after the procedure

No aftercare is required and the patient can immediately return to their normal daily routine.

Alternatives to serum therapy

Hypodermoclysis can be an alternative method of hydration to serum therapy. It is a method of administering fluids and medication at the level of the subcutaneous cellular tissue. It is a technique that causes less pain and discomfort and is easier to maintain. In addition, it generates less infections compared to the intravenous level.

Fluid administration is usually placed in the anterior or lateral wall of the thorax, under the breast, abdominal wall, scapula or the anterolateral and anterolateral medial parts of the thigh.

This method is mostly used in the elderly when it is more difficult to cannulate venous access.
