What is Orthotropics?
Orthotropics is a facial orthodontic technique that, through invisible appliances in both jaws, expands the maxillary bone and jaw. The most important difference with other orthodontic methods is that it increases the size of the patient’s airway, providing more air entry into the upper airway. This method encompasses the care of several points of the body beyond the health of gums and teeth.
It is a technique that accompanies the natural growth of the child and corrects jaw imbalances in adults, therefore, less invasive than other conventional procedures and usually lasts, in general terms, about 48 months in children and 36 in adults.
Why is it done?
