Research to fight against Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple Sclerosis has no cure and is the most common neurological disease after epilepsy. It usually affects young adults in their 20s and 40s and severely diminishes their quality of life as a neurodegenerative disease. Research is the only way out for those suffering from this harsh disease.

On World Multiple Sclerosis Day, which is celebrated today, the M1 campaign has been launched to collect donations for further research in the hope of finding a cure for this disease, of which 1,800 cases are diagnosed every year in Spain alone.

There are different types of Multiple Sclerosis and many symptoms such as loss of muscle mass, uncoordinated movements, cramps, dyspnea… in any case, it produces a great disability that seriously affects the quality of life of those who suffer from it. As we said, research is key, but also an early diagnosis is very important to stop and slow down the consequences of this cruel disease.
