Cell therapy

What is cell therapy?

Cell therapy is a procedure based on the technique of suspension of autologous skin cells (from the first layer of the epidermis), i.e. the extraction of cells from the patient’s own skin. It is considered one of the most advanced expressions of regenerative medicine.

Why is it performed?

The autologous skin cell suspension technique is mainly used for hair diseases:

  • Alopecia areata
  • Scarring alopecia
  • Androgenetic alopecia
  • Atrophic scars
  • Skin ulcers
  • Vitiligo

Cell therapy is used for hair diseases.

Cell therapy is also used in dermatology in anti-aging treatments to improve the appearance of the skin, which will be more toned, hydrated and with less visible wrinkles.

What does it consist of?

Cell therapy consists in the implantation of new cells in the tissue to treat a specific disease. It has the ability to stimulate the formation of new skin cells and the hair bulb activity phase. The hair bulb activity phase is represented by:

  • Follicle growth and increase in diameter.
  • Formation of the hair shaft
  • Hair elongation
