World Psoriasis Day calls for treatment for all

Psoriasis is a disease that cannot be cured but does have treatment to alleviate symptoms and improve the lives of those who suffer from it. Worldwide, psoriasis affects more than 125 million people, more than one million of them in Spain. Today is World Psoriasis Day and has served to claim that any psoriasis patient can be treated regardless of the country or city where they live.

Thus, under the slogan Treatment for everyone, Acción Psoriaris has carried out various events during the day, including the presentation of the results of the Psoriasis Barometer, a survey that has left data such as that 73% of respondents (affected by psoriasis) say they are suffering from cuts in care.

It is also an ideal day to insist on what psoriasis is, its causes and treatments, as it is a little known disease but very much suffered by those who suffer from it. To understand more about psoriasis, we recommend two articles by an expert on the subject, Dr. José Luis López Estebaranz:

Psoriasis, what it is and its causes

Psoriasis, types and treatments
