TOP DOCTORS presents the most highly rated medical professionals in Spain by doctors themselves in 2017

All the award winners also have the best ratings from patients, have more than 15 years of experience and great international recognition

Top Doctors®, the leading digital company in the identification of top doctors and medical centers, has announced today the list of the 50 best rated Spanish doctors in private medicine in our country in its IV Edition of the Top Doctors® Awards, awards that the company has been giving for a decade in the United States and that arrived with force in Spain in 2014 in recognition of excellence in private medicine in the country.

The company has made public the names of the 50 doctors most highly valued in 2017 by the medical collective itself, which is the one that chooses, through its recommendations throughout the year, the best Spanish specialists, those to whom they would entrust their health or that of their family. “Our awards are the most recognized in the country, as it is the medical profession itself that identifies, values and recognizes the medical excellence of the sector, endorsing the quality of our medical staff year after year,” explains Alberto Porciani, CEO of Top Doctors.

Among the almost 4,000 doctors recommended in 2017, all the award winners also have the best scores recognized by patients, have more than 15 years of experience and great international recognition.

This is the ranking by Autonomous Community: Andalusia (8), Valencia (7), Basque Country (6), Madrid (5), Catalonia (5), Aragon (4), Balearic Islands (4), Canary Islands (4), Galicia (2), Navarra (2), Murcia (2), Asturias (1). Among the most recommended medical specialties in private medicine, general surgery stands out, with 5 doctors, followed by plastic and cosmetic surgery, traumatology and urology (4 each) and dermatology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology and otorhinolaryngology (3 each).

Dr. Diego González Rivas (Thoracic Surgery) wins the Top Doctors AWARD for the fourth consecutive year, while Dr. Ramón Llull Cerdá (Plastic Surgery) and Dr. Manuel David Tomás Barberán (Otorhinolaryngology) win for the third consecutive year. Agustín Viera Ramírez (Dermatology), Humberto Carreras Díaz (Ophthalmology), Antonio de Lacy Fortuny (General Surgery), Francisco Antolí-Candela Cano (Otorhinolaryngology), Javier Marqueta Sobrino (Assisted Reproduction), Juan Antonio Luján Mompeán (General Surgery), do so for the second consecutive year.
