Augmentation mastopexy in complicated cases

The augmentation mastopexy procedure is indicated to project the cone of the breast, thus adapting the nipple-areola and correcting differences in breast size, especially in cases where the breast does not have volume.

Breast augmentation surgery is performed in one or two stages, depending on the assessment made by each specialist. In this, different aspects are taken into account, such as the quality of the skin, the asymmetry of the breast, the asymmetry of the nipples, a significant weight loss, the level of sagging…

Two-stage augmentation mastopexy is performed in very complex cases. Personally, I try to avoid it. In complex cases, I do a single-stage technique in which the lower nipple that has been modified is combined with the placement of the double-plane implant. A practical case

31 year old patient with an average follow-up time of 11.2 months. Round, textured, cohesive silicone implants were used, with an average volume of 260 cubic centimeters.

This technique allows for successful single-stage augmentation mastopexy in complicated cases. Below is a video summary of the work performed in the operating room explaining the technique used.
