The dental expert: second opinions count

The judicial expert is the person in charge of preparing an expert report that will constitute a fundamental proof in any complaint before the courts, determining the damages caused, the causes and their possible consequences, as well as the different alternatives to solve it.

How can an expert’s report help me?

The expert report helps the judge to have more information about the treatment carried out and thus facilitates him to make a decision based on whether the procedure carried out is correct or not, and for this purpose he executes a sentence. The expert report can only be carried out by accredited specialists whose opinion must be completely neutral and impartial with respect to the parties involved.

The judge will then get a detailed answer as to what has been done and how it can be remedied, as well as the compensation to be paid for the damages caused, if any.

First steps

First of all, a no-obligation interview is conducted to find out a little more about the treatment carried out, any doubts raised and any complaints that have arisen. In case we detect an indication of malpractice then we start with the next step.

Subsequently, a complete basic radiographic study is performed and a computed tomography study if necessary, i.e. a 3D study. It is important to provide all the documentation that we legally possess in order to be able to study the evolution of the treatment.

Finally, a complete analysis is made and a written study is provided to your lawyer so that he can manage the possible claim with what has been incurred in malpractice and how to solve it.
