What are stem cells used for

Stem cells, also called pluripotent stem cells, are cells capable of performing specialized functions. There are adult and embryonic stem cells, the latter are the ones that, through the umbilical cord, can be frozen in order to use them in the future if a damaged tissue needs to be regenerated.

The cells used in Regenerative Medicine are mesenchymal cells extracted from the fat of an adult person. Traditionally, these cells were extracted through complex laboratory processes, using bone marrow or blood. Even so, the quantity and quality of these cells through these processes was not comparable to those obtained from the fat of the adult patient.

What does the liporevolution consist of?

Liporevolution means that the fat extracted in liposuction is no longer thrown away, but is reused either for regenerative medicine processes or for lipofilling: fat fillings in other areas of the body such as the breast, buttocks or face.
