Half a century of existence has turned Clínica Dental Padrós into one of the most prestigious dental centers, a true benchmark both for its experience and for its constant technological evolution. “We don’t give the mouth the importance it deserves”, explained Dr. Eduardo Padrós -founder of the Padrós Dental Clinic- to one of the groups of patients who came to the center to learn about the details, anecdotes, innovations and ins and outs of the clinic on the occasion of its 50th anniversary. The Padrós Dental Clinic has decided to celebrate this important date with an open day that has been a complete success. Open doors to the clinic and to oral health, because along the tour we learned some curious and interesting details about the center as well as tips and explanations of great utility for the oral health of all.
The first to welcome us is Dr. Padrós himself, a true eminence who shows us the details of the mouth and its functions to make the attendees see that it is a complex but vitally important part. Dr. Padrós takes the opportunity to give advice to those present while he explains the functioning and development of the teeth, “we insist on having check-ups every six months” he warns to avoid major problems. The doctors’ valuable advice is accompanied by equally useful explanations from the nursing staff, who show us everything from their own sterilization of instruments, as well as the preparation of prostheses, the types of orthodontics, the differences between digital X-rays and those of a lifetime… Experiments to see the importance of fluoride and a quick lesson in oral hygiene are other presentations by the staff that make the attendees reflect, since something so commonplace seems to be neither so simple nor so banal. Doctors Eduardo Padrós Serrat and José Luis Padrós also attend to us, the former informing us on how dentists can help cases of snoring and apneas, while the latter explains parts of the operating room and its advanced machinery.
Of special interest is everything that the patient does not normally see and the use of each of the advanced machines available in the clinic, from those that are able to make teeth exactly as we want to intraoral cameras through a detector for mouth cancer.
