A new 3D simulator allows to know how you are going to look after cosmetic surgery

The Vectra X3 simulator makes it possible to obtain 3D images of the results of cosmetic surgery before it is performed. Dr. Vicente Paloma, a renowned plastic and cosmetic surgeon at the Teknon Medical Center in Barcelona and a member of Top Doctors, has pioneered this system in Spain. In this way, patients can see how their nose, chin, breast augmentation or reduction will look… in addition, this technology helps to improve communication between doctor and patient by being able to see exactly what they want.

The Vectra X3 has positioned itself as one of the best pre-op services for patients. And it allows the doctor to show the patient the treatment perfectly and therefore the patient has real expectations of the results. The Vectra X3 is ideal, for example, to find out what size breast implant is most suitable in each case, what degree of inclination the nose will have after the operation or how the face will change after a cheek implant.

“The patient values this service considerably in pre-operative consultations, as it allows him to convey his concerns and generates a great deal of confidence before the operation,” according to Dr. Vicente Paloma himself, who adds: “when a patient comes to the consultation to undergo a cosmetic surgery treatment, he is not always sure of what he really needs. This is when 3D technology becomes important, as it makes it possible to predict the results of the procedure, with a minimum margin of error, before the procedure is performed”. Dr. Vicente Paloma is a pioneer in the use of the 3D image simulator, Vectra x3, as he is the only one in the entire peninsula to have it in his practice.

The simulator is from the North American brand Candfield and provides a three-dimensional view of color images, with a very high resolution, guaranteeing a very sharp definition so that even the smallest details can be appreciated. The images captured – both of the face and of the body – allow the final results of different procedures to be seen. In breast augmentation and rhinoplasty, the accuracy of the 3D images is 95%. It is the latest technology at the service of the patient, and the doctor.
