‘Quédate Embarazada’, an application to help you get pregnant

A pregnancy is the dream of many expectant mothers and fathers, so on the occasion of the upcoming Mother’s Day, the center of excellence Ginefiv-Clínica de la fertilidad has launched a mobile application to help couples achieve pregnancy. The Quédate Embarazada application is free and is based on helping to maximize the chances of success in achieving a pregnancy by natural means, while at the same time providing a very useful record for the assisted reproduction expert if it is finally necessary to go to the latter.

Ginefiv is part of Top Doctors first level centers and has created this free application in Apple Store, Google Play and its website. Dr. Santillan and Dr. Lucas, a member of Top Doctors, explained that “the application was created with the idea of helping all these couples to make the most of their reproductive capacity through a simple fertility calendar, while at the same time helping to reduce the stress of these couples by helping them to understand their personal reproductive system”. Therefore, “the application is aimed at all those couples who have just faced the challenge of becoming parents and/or who are having problems in achieving conception”.

Quédate embarazada offers practical advice and estimates the most fertile days “based on some data requested at the time of the first registration: weight, age, lifestyle, length of the menstrual cycle, frequency of sexual intercourse…” and also includes “various useful measurement parameters to refine the determination of these fertile days, such as measurement of basal temperature, observation of cervical mucus or ovulation test”.

Information for the specialist

If pregnancy is not achieved by natural methods, this application ends up becoming an important record for the assisted reproduction expert to whom the couple goes. As the doctors at Ginefiv explain: “the information generated through the application is a record that can be very useful for medical professionals, who will be able to have a detailed control of the woman’s cycles; a great help to make a diagnosis or look for possible reasons why pregnancy is not achieved in a natural way”.
