Dr. Tolosa, at the ‘Update in the treatment of Parkinson disease’ in Tokyo

Dr. Eduardo Tolosa, leading Neurologist and member of Top Doctors, has been present at the second anniversary of the rotigotine patch for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease in Japan, which has been held in Tokyo on March 7, 2015. Dr. Tolosa has been the special guest at this meeting, where he has given the lecture Update in the treatment of Parkinson disease.

Dr. Tolosa reviewed the latest advances in the management of Parkinson’s including Duodopa and subcutaneous apomorphine and shared with the attendees (about 600 Japanese Parkinson’s experts) his experiences with the use of the Neupro patch in Parkinson’s disease. Neupro is particularly useful in patients with poor morning mobility and nighttime mobility problems. In addition, because it does not require intestinal absorption since it is administered transdermally, it is particularly useful in Parkinson’s patients who have trouble swallowing or who require surgery and are not allowed to ingest food or liquids orally.
