The Instituto Materno Infantil, Top Doctors medical center of excellence has started prenatal and postnatal yoga classes. These classes aim to be a haven for pregnant women, where they can consciously live their changing bodies and meet other women in the same situation.
The exercises proposed during a prenatal yoga class are designed to have an optimal pregnancy. The main postures practiced are standing, as having your feet on the floor offers a strong sense of security. Postures focused on hip opening, pectoral stretching, shoulder opening and balancing postures, among others, are practiced.
On the other hand, post-natal yoga classes are in the style of regular yoga classes. Women will be able to bring their babies.
