During this afternoon will be held the 3rd Multidisciplinary Update on Inflammatory and Systemic Autoimmune Diseases organized by ISADMU, medical center member of Top Doctors. It will take place in the Assembly Hall of the Teknon Medical Center, part of the Quironsalud group in Barcelona.
Under the slogan #STOPinflammation, the event aims to be a meeting of professionals and its objective is to update the knowledge of healthcare professionals to improve the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients affected by systemic autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. The directors of #ISADMU are in charge of coordinating the event, Dr. Miquel Sans, specialist in Gastroenterology, Dr. Juan MuƱoz, expert in Rheumatology and Dr. Xavier Garcia, specialist in Dermatology.

During the event, different specialists will give various lectures related to diseases that can affect patients with autoimmune pathologies.
Thus, specialists in Gastroenterology will give a talk on intestinal macrobiota and on whether this is the treatment of the future in this type of diseases. On the other hand, specialists in Nutrition and Dietetics will talk about what and how patients with immune-based and autoimmune diseases should eat. Next, Dermatology specialists will explain the details about Psoriasis and whether it has been a success story in inflammatory diseases. They will also complete the conference talking about the importance of Psychodermatology, in the treatment of the emotional burden of Psoriasis. Finally, specialists from the Cardiology service will also inform about the possible cardiovascular risk in inflammatory and systemic autoimmune diseases.
