Neurofeedback: boosting your brain functions

Our brain is in charge of everything from our psychology, our mental health as well as all parts of the organism. If trained, we can achieve better concentration, attention and memory.

What is Neurofeedback?

It is a method used to measure brain activity. The brain waves that are emitted from the brain activity, allow to detect the thoughts, actions and sensations generated by the communication between groups of cells.

It is a non-invasive technique that uses real-time digital technology to measure the electrical activity of the brain (EEG). In this way, the information is presented on a screen and the patient can perceive their altered activity and learn how to modify it.

What is a Neurofeedback session like?

During the session, sensors are placed on the patient’s head that illustrate how he/she reacts. When the results are obtained, they are compared with what the specialist assures us should be the correct conditions of any patient.

From the diagnosis, you can start working with those areas that are considered to need reinforcement.

How useful is it?

In the United States, this method is applied to treat various types of disorders. It is common for Neurofeedback to be used to treat children’s cases of attention deficits, among others.

It is also used by athletes or elite corps of the American army, seeking to improve concentration and be more complete before stressful situations.

The main benefits of Neurofeedback are:

  • Increases attention and memory capacity
