What are immediate load implants?
Immediate load implants are implants that allow us with a certain technique to place fixed teeth the same day of the intervention. Always with the necessary indications that the patient will have to comply with.
How long will the intervention last approximately and how can conscious sedation benefit?
When we fix a whole part of the mouth, either above or below, and understanding that in the same intervention we remove the teeth that are not well and put the necessary implants, we will need between 4-5 hours approximately. This time may vary according to the complexity of each patient’s specific case.
Conscious sedation greatly benefits the patient in all aspects:
- You will not notice or feel anything during the entire procedure.
- You will be calm and totally relaxed.
- You will be monitored by an anesthesiologist.
When will the patient be able to recover the chewing function?
The day after the operation, you will be able to eat a light meal, always following the guidelines and indications that we will give you in consultation.
When will the permanent teeth be placed?
It depends a lot on each case, but it is usually done after about three months. It should be taken into account that the patient will always have fixed teeth and that when they are replaced by the permanent teeth no anesthesia will be required because it is a purely prosthetic treatment that does not require any surgery.
