Rehabilitation of esthetic compromise in the anterior sector

In the case of young patients we usually find that they may present more frequently defects in the mouth that cause an esthetic compromise that they wish to overcome. In the case of a patient who came to Dr. Bustillo’s office, he had a 3D defect in his upper central incisors and, after diagnosis, the need for a previous process of bone regeneration and the placement of dental implants was corroborated.

What are the options?

For the case described, among the therapeutic options indicated, the patient opted for reconstruction by means of a bone graft, with the aim of being able to place the implants in their best position. The grafting, known as Box Technique, is a short procedure that only requires local anesthesia.

Once the bone reconstruction was completed, the implants were placed. After that, a healing process was necessary before taking the samples for the design of the definitive prosthesis. Finally, the prosthesis was installed.

Treatment results

The treatment completely eliminated the 3D defect, improving the patient’s dentofacial esthetics and, consequently, the patient’s smile.
