Osseointegration: safety in dental implants

After the placement of a dental implant it is necessary to wait some time for this implant to integrate into the bone, a process called osseointegration. From this moment on, the implant can receive the definitive prosthesis and the usual chewing forces.

It is understood that this process can take an average of 2-3 months. Until a few years ago, there was no method to ensure that the implant was already integrated and ready to receive the prosthesis without risk to the implant.

Apparatus to evaluate the level of implant integration

Nowadays there is equipment that allows us to evaluate objectively the level of integration of the implant to the bone and, therefore, to be very calm when placing a prosthesis on an implant, since we know that the implant has completed its healing process.

It is a fast, painless and non-invasive method that does not jeopardize the normal healing process of the implant. By means of a wave system it is possible to know, at all times, what is the status of the implant and if it is evolving positively.
