BTL EXILIS

The mixed technique of radiofrequency and ultrasound EXILIS allows to improve flaccidity, reduce wrinkles, correct stretch marks, redensify and hydrate the tissue in neck, face, cleavage or other body areas without scalpel.

This option is not very invasive, and on the contrary, it is very effective, since with few sessions excellent natural anti-aging benefits are achieved. Progressive and with an evident appearance of biological age lower than the current chronological age. The exilis radiofrequency has been awarded several consecutive years in the United States, at the prestigious congress “theAesthethic show” held in Las Vegas.

How does EXILIS work?

This treatment consists of the combination of two physical agents such as radiofrequency and ultrasound. Radiofrequency acts by stimulating fibroblasts, collagen and elastin synthesis, which visibly results in a firmer and more elastic appearance of the skin.

While the thermal and mechanical effect of ultrasound affects the adipose tissue, helping to drain the lipid molecules from inside the cell, thus facilitating their elimination and producing an anti-cellulite, remodeling and reducing effect in the deepest layers of fat.

The treatment protocol consists of the application of a conductive gel prior to the contact of the transducer head on the skin, to ensure correct contact and conduction of the waves to the deepest layers and, together with the energy flow control system, to protect the body from possible friction on the skin when reaching the highest intensity level of the treatment. It is advisable to perform the sessions every 15 days to respect the natural cycle of collagen breakdown or lysis and synthesis.

What are ultrasounds?

From a medical point of view, when we speak of an ultrasound device we think of the traditional ultrasound machine used in gynecology to obtain images of the inside of the uterus. We also associate it with the one used in cardiology to obtain information on the functioning of the heart (Doppler ultrasound) or even the device used to diagnose musculoskeletal injuries through the visualization of soft tissues, such as subcutaneous cellular tissue, muscle tissue or tendon tissue.

From physiotherapy, when we think of ultrasound, we think of the ultrasound device used in rehabilitation treatments, to stimulate the regeneration of damaged or inflamed musculoskeletal structures, such as tendons or muscles, etc.

However, ultrasound is also a therapeutic method of application in aesthetic medicine and dermatology with a wide spectrum of application. Its specific biophysical efficiency for aesthetic treatment has been evidenced by the scientific literature, for its application on chronic wounds, hypertrophic scars, anti-aging procedures and skin improvement in aesthetic medicine.

It is advisable to combine EXILIS treatment with an adequate fluid intake to ensure maximum hydration, about two or three liters during the 24 hours after, as well as reaffirm and hydrate the treated area with an appropriate cosmetic, follow a hypocaloric diet rich in protein, supplement with specific amino acids to help collagen synthesis to accelerate the process.
