Rhinoplasty and blepharoplasty: two plastic surgery procedures

Blepharoplasty and rhinoplasty are two procedures performed in the specialty of plastic surgery. In this article, we are going to see what each of these surgeries are about and how they are performed.

Blepharoplasty: an intervention to improve the gaze

A blepharoplasty is a surgical intervention that solves the excess skin and bags of the upper and lower eyelids, providing a very noticeable improvement, since it allows to reduce the signs of aging in the region of the gaze.

It can be performed in a conventional or laser-assisted way, being this the most advantageous method, since there is no bleeding, it is less traumatic and more precise, offering optimal results and a quick and painless postoperative period. Dr. Pedro Cormenzana, who has more than 20 years of experience, performs laser blepharoplasty.

After the intervention, as in most facial interventions, it is advisable to apply cold locally and rest with the head incorporated, preferably.

Rhinoplasty for a harmonious and aesthetic nose

Rhinoplasty is the surgical intervention that can solve any defect or anomaly of the nose, whether constitutional (genetic) or acquired (generally due to trauma).

There are 2 types of rhinoplasty:

  • Open rhinoplasty: is the most common to perform meticulous work, especially of the nasal tip.
  • Closed rhinoplasty: it is indicated for functional rhinoplasties or septoplasties in which it is not necessary to modify the tip.

The objective and benefits of aesthetic rhinoplasty are summarized in achieving a harmonious and aesthetically improved nose.
