What is IPL?
Intense Pulsed Light, also known as IPL, is a non-aggressive dermatological skin rejuvenation treatment performed to treat changes in the skin due to aging, stress, or damage from sun exposure.
IPL emits a light that allows treating different skin imperfections. In addition, it acts on the deeper layers of the skin, stimulating the production of collagen and significantly improving the appearance of the treated area.
When are IPL treatments indicated?

How is the treatment performed?
The treatment, whose sessions usually last approximately 30 minutes, is performed on clean skin, without makeup and that is not tanned. It is important to avoid sun exposure fifteen days before and after each session, by using a good photoprotector.
Anesthetic cream is not usually used, because it is not a painful treatment. In this sense, after the session, the reincorporation is immediate.
Results of IPL treatment
After a few days after the first session, the results start to become visible. At this time, skin blemishes and redness also begin to fade.
For optimal results, 3 initial sessions are usually done one month apart, followed by one or two maintenance sessions per year.
Combines IPL with the ResurFX laser
To improve results against photoaging, it is recommended to combine IPL with the ResurFX laser, because in this way great results can be achieved.
The combined treatment is usually applied in the same session. It starts with IPL, eliminating vascular lesions or pigmented spots and improving the overall appearance of the skin. Next, the ResurFX laser acts on the deeper layers of the skin, improving its elasticity, firmness and evenness. Finally, a regenerating cream is applied, which should continue to be applied at home as a home cosmetic treatment.
After the treatment, redness and slight inflammation may appear in the area that disappears in a few days. In any case, it is important to moisturize the skin well and protect it from solar radiation with a high sunscreen.
