Neck and décolleté rejuvenation is as important as face rejuvenation

Often we are not aware that the neck and décolleté also need their rejuvenation care: these areas should have the same attention as the face, as they also undergo the same aging process as the rest of the body. In many cases it happens that the patient is not aware of this aging of the neck and décolleté until these signs are already very evident.

Treatment for neck wrinkles

Three types of wrinkles usually appear on the neck:

  • Horizontal wrinkles: which are genetically determined.
  • wrinkles at the base of the neck
  • small fine lines related to the aging process, flaccidity and hormonal changes.

In the case of very marked and deep wrinkles in the neck, the best treatment is Hyaluronic Acid fillers.

In the case of very fine wrinkles, dehydrated skin and flaccidity, we will use collagen synthesis inducers, mesotherapy with vitamins, amino acids, carboxytherapy to improve microcirculation by providing the area with more O2 and nutrients, PDO threads for a tightening effect and biostimulation with Platelet Growth Factors.

It may be necessary to perform 3 or 4 sessions at the beginning of the treatment and maintenance sessions every 3 to 6 months, depending on the degree of aging.

Treatment for wrinkles and spots on the décolleté

In the décolleté the most frequent are vertical wrinkles and fine lines, a consequence of the aging process. For these, the same treatments will be used as for the neck.

It is also common to find hyperpigmentation (spots) and vascular lesions, often associated with photoaging, due to sun exposure over a long period of time. With advancing age, skin renewal slows down, causing an accumulation of dead cells and the skin appears thicker, devitalized, with pigmentation changes and the appearance of these spots.

For these cases, the necessary Aesthetic Medicine treatments are Chemical Peelings and Vascular Laser. The treatment of hyperpigmentation or dark spots on the décolleté can be performed with chemical peels adapted to the skin of this specific area. This peeling will cause a controlled exfoliation that will bring an improvement in the quality of the skin, more hydrated, luminous, with a reduction of fine wrinkles and elimination of spots.
