Why do facial varicose veins occur?

It must be taken into account that when we talk about facial varicose veins we are not talking about varicose veins as we commonly know them, but about spider veins.

These so-called spider veins are those that occur when capillary vessels are broken and extensions of these are created. They do not cause pain, unlike common varicose veins that are caused by a weakening of the veins.

What is then observed on the face are simply small colored spider veins, which are called couporosis. They can be visually annoying, or not, depending on the person.

Why do facial varicose veins occur?

Spider veins have few specific causes, such as a blow or as a side effect of a medication; it can also be due to excessive blood pressure.

Among the most general causes we find alcohol intake, pregnancy, hereditary factors, consumption of refined sugars, overweight… With all this, they seem difficult to prevent, right?

Fortunately, they are easy to treat. Once they appear, they must be treated by a specialist.

Treatment to combat couporosis

There are several treatments to combat varicose veins easily.

First of all, there is the laser treatment. It is recommended to do it in winter, since sun exposure is much lower. It consists of about 6 laser sessions that leave your skin perfect. It is necessary to consult a doctor beforehand.

There is also sclerotherapy. This consists of an injection of saline solution that manages to eliminate the veins making them wither.
