Smile treatment with composite veneers

What is the goal of composite veneers treatment?
The objective of this treatment is to change the appearance of the smile of all those patients who for some reason are unhappy with it. This treatment allows changing the color, shape, position or size of the teeth in a very fast way and only in one session.

Who is the ideal candidate to undergo this treatment?
Anyone who is unhappy with their smile, who keeps their natural teeth since all the work is done on top of their own teeth and who is at least 16 to 18 years old, when the teeth are already fully erupted with a healthy and stable gum.

What does the treatment with composite veneers consist of?
It consists of making small plates on each of the teeth involved in the smile to achieve a new look, such as changing the proportion, size, shape and / or color of the teeth, to achieve a new and youthful look in this new smile.

What type of anesthesia is used?
Actually 99% of these treatments are performed without anesthesia because it is virtually painless. We work on the teeth themselves without having previously lowered, drilled or manipulated them. Only the enamel is usually polished very superficially to achieve a good adhesion of the veneers to the tooth and therefore the treatment is painless. The application of anesthesia is not necessary.

In which cases is it indicated to use this technique?
All those cases in which the patient really wants it and wants to avoid another type of longer treatment, such as orthodontics. Basically, it is indicated in those cases in which we want to change the color, shape, size and/or proportions of the teeth, achieving optimal results in only one or two treatment sessions.

When can I resume my normal activities?
From one or two hours after leaving the consultation, the patient can lead an absolutely normal life, only smoking and drinking liquids that can stain, such as coffee, tea or coca cola among others, are restricted during the first 24 hours. Otherwise, the patient can eat and drink without any concern and lead a normal life from the moment the treatment ends.
