What is therapeutic pilates?

Therapeutic Pilates, not to be confused with Pilates practiced in gyms, is a technique of postural balance, especially indicated for people who have shoulder, neck, back or other limb problems. It is a discipline that aims to achieve balance between body and mind, thanks to the awareness of one’s own body through movement.

Therapeutic Pilates helps to improve posture, balance and body musculature.

What does it consist of?

Therapeutic Pilates consists of a series of exercises designed to bring peace to the body and mind. These exercises are indicated to improve posture, balance and body musculature, thanks to the dynamic, controlled and reinforced stretching of certain muscles.

Why is it performed?

Therapeutic Pilates is a rehabilitation technique that applies classical Pilates to physiotherapy and sports medicine. It is suitable for all people, women and men, of any age group; it is particularly effective for people suffering from chronic back pain and neck pain due to poor posture, as well as fragile lumbar, abdominal, paravertebral and gluteal muscles.

Preparation for therapeutic pilates
