What is integrative humanistic psychotherapy?

Integrative humanistic psychotherapy is a therapy that focuses on the humanistic conception of the person. It is based on four pillars which are transactional analysis (a large part of the theoretical basis), Gestalt therapy (provides a dynamic style), body psychotherapies (incorporates the body in the therapeutic process) and the theory of the therapeutic grief process (facilitates the integration of the emotional aspect).

In this therapy the work focuses on the therapeutic relationship and the resolution of conflicts at the emotional level.

of the person

Why is it done?

The therapy is performed to address issues or emotions that patients have blocked and that, therefore, are interfering with their autonomy and fulfillment. It can go from a stage of great difficulty to a support to face problems that arise recurrently throughout the person’s life.

What does it consist of?

In integrative humanistic psychotherapy the specialist accompanies and supports the person so that he/she can grow personally at a deep level in integration, self-knowledge and self-awareness. Through it, the person is accompanied to review his or her own personal history, and is also given tools and resources to strengthen himself or herself and make decisions.
